While I Wove
[gallery link="file" columns="2" orderby="title"] I took the snow picts on my way out to the studio this morning. I would have pictures of the finished Cotton Baby - BUT - I ran out of one of the weft colors just 3”
Snow-pocalypse
[gallery link="file"] We hardy New Englanders were knocked on our snow-proud bums by a huge storm that took out our electricity, phone, internet and even cell phone for two days. It then rained for an entire day and now it is
Voila
[gallery link="file" order="DESC" orderby="title"] So yesterday I had a hefty bag full of bicycle-wheel-spun African mohair and today I a have a rainbow (a rainbow with some problems in the yellow area - okay - a rainbow with some weird white
Before Anything has Gone Wrong
[gallery link="file" order="DESC" orderby="title"] The above photos are the very beginnings of the new projects (before things have begun to go wrong or disappoint - does that sound fatalistic?). I love the pure potential. Left is the sample seat cushion in
Name Dropping

I am in the studio working away - about 60” into the Polly 2 Re-do. I will finish tomorrow and am contemplating what to do about my soon to be nude looms. I really want to try a mock leno/canvas

[gallery link="file" order="DESC" columns="2" orderby="title"] Sorry for the wee hiatus, but I had a chance to spend a couple of days rambling around NYC checking out galleries and museums gathering inspiration for weavings to come. We (my older son, sister and
Once More With Feeling
I just tied on (once again) to Polly for a re-do. The client requested a small design change. So here goes. In other exciting news I wound this warp using a paddle for the first time. Faster? No! Easier? No! More
Submit
Today I submitted Sock Baby 2 and Socks (the tapestry) to the “Not Just for Socks” contest at Interweave Press. I am determined to continue to force myself to submit items to juried shows and contests despite the fact that
