No Entry
This will be a paltry entry - very late - still more fringing to do. I was at school today - great lecture on converting a 4-shaft overshot draft to an 8-shaft -no tabby-on opposites. Can’t wait to mess with it.
No Tails Continued…
[gallery link="file" columns="2"] Leah 2 is finished with the exception of fringes (assignment for tonight) and I want to detail “no tails at the selvedges” for Kathy (thanks for the comment Kathy). I put a (not great)photo above to show what
No Tails at the Selvedges
Leah 2 is woven but still need to be washed and “fringed”. The warp is composed of 8 colors and the weft is just Azure and Eggplant with Navy as the shadow on the blocks. Because the navy is 2
Paperwork & Pot Roast
With the exception of the fringes on Leah’s scarf I spent the day with laundry, paperwork and pot roast. I am trying to convince myself that everyday chores can be aesthetically rewarding if done with creativity, grace and beauty. It

Back to Work
[gallery link="file" orderby="title"] I spent the entire day in the studio. I did some paperwork, designed and wound the warp for the next project in the queue. It is a double weave scarf in bamboo on 8 shafts. I am messing
Last Day of Holiday Break
Today was a sad day of packing up. Hardy had to get ready and return to school, Rob and Kylie had to pack up and go back to the city. I finally finished and packed up Alpaca 2 with a
Finishing Touches
Somehow the last few days have yielded only a few weaving hours. I have been reading about weaving, thinking about designs and being good (sort of, define good, everything is relative . . . right?) as per my New Year’s
