Hmmmm

The sampler scarf is off the loom and washed. I really like some aspects of the twill sections. The curves and points are a little sharper and the twill lines add some additional movement. It might need to be used carefully because it could make a very busy textile. I used a weft that was a slightly different color than the warp because I wanted to see the twill lines.

This sampler was threaded on 16 shafts – set at 36 epi – 3/dent in a 12 dent reed. It is a 20/2 wool from Brassard. I think I will draft another twill/def dw using 8/2 to see how it behaves and looks at a larger scale – I probably should have done that first:)
