More frost on the window glass

Cold, cold, cold – the dishwasher froze this morning and although I am very attracted to the “fundamental to life” aspect of hand weaving, I cannot say the same for hand washing dishes. Sigh!

But I did brave the elements for my commute from house to barn to finish Polly. It is drying now, and in staying with the “shibui” Japanese aesthetic it has an imperfection. I always have to force myself to include an imperfection (joke). I changed one of the colors and the stripe at the halfway point , but once off the loom and measured it turns out the it is about 2” beyond the halfway point. I had a measuring string and everything. Although I might recall weaving to around the knot in the string, etc
