. . . there is no color in this world that is not intended to make us rejoice. John Calvin
I seem to be in a world of color lately. Even though the natural world is still mostly browns and grays, I keep seeing beautiful color. I am winding warps for my NEWS class and it is such a treat to create color combinations for someone else to weave! I was at WEBS choosing some tencel colors in shades of periwinkle, orange, fuchsia, robin’s egg blue, and spring green when I saw my friend Gail Callahan across the store wearing the sweater below – in the exact palette I was picking out – color coincidence!
My husband, youngest son and I visited my niece at Yale to go on the museum tour that she is preparing to give at The Yale University Art Gallery, and we got to spend some serious quality time with two beautiful Rothko’s.

And of course we had a tiny egg-dyeing fun fest. I guess the unexpected quote from John Calvin says it all.

Hi Lisa:
Love the new format of your website. Saw the scarf you make for Meagan out on pinterest a few weekes ago. Pleasant surprise.

Thanks Sandy,
That must have been weird. I know people say that if you post something on the web you never know where it will end up, but it still feels strange to be looking for something else and stumble across an image of one’s own. Good to hear from you and I hope all is well.
