What I Am Thankful for . . . Many Things . . . Among Them . . . the Color Red
I wanted to write a short post to say thanks. There are so many things I am thankful for that it would be a pretty long and tedious post if I listed them all. Of course, you – my weaving community – are high on the list, but I wanted to get a little more specific and give thanks for the color red.
Red is a gift in all its incarnations from palest pink to deep chocolate brown. We couldn’t have orange or purple without red. Red lets us be delicate and fragile in pale pink, loud and strong in vermillion, spooky and moody in crimson, festive in fuchsia and sexy in scarlet.
As I contemplate the approaching holidays without a visit from my oldest child or a visit to my octogenarian Mom, or dinner and shopping trips with friends, I am deciding that RED will be my consolation (along with my sweet pod mates). In honor of red I have just listed a new pattern on Etsy for some quick-to-weave red kitchen towels. Check them out and I hope you have a color that fills you with joy and helps you feel thankful.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your take on RED.

It is one of my favorites as well.

Hi Charlene,
Thanks so much for the comment. I am still in the “getting to know you” stage of my relationship with this revamped site . . . and we are having communication issues!
