Photography

I am very excited about the guild program we had this week. A friend and fellow Hill weaving student Ann Squire presented a program on how to photograph handwovens. I learned so much. Ann gave us a quick review of f-stop, shutter speed, etc (things I have seen on my camera for 30 years as I twisted the dial to auto . . .). Then she covered tips and tricks from equipment to composition. I think I have had an intuitive grasp of many of these things, but it was so great to have them outlined and to be given the tools to be able plan and control my shots, rather then wait for a sunny day, click and click and hope for the best.

I won’t give away all Ann’s tips and tricks, but here is her website which has her contact info in case you want her to come to your guild! http://www.annie-o.com/#
