Yesterday I delivered Alpaca 3 and the Guild Throw to enthusiastic recipients. Today I worked on a design for a 16 -shaft double weave baby blanket in reds, oranges, and fushia, and I got the Polly Scarf on the little loom. It is going to be an 8-shaft deflected double weave in 4 pinkish shades of Zephyr. This time instead of treadling “tromp as writ” which results in a goose-eye ish motif, I am treadling for vertical stripes. It is threaded and sleyed so I will be able to see some results tomorrow – maybe – big son is coming home for a 17th birthday party so I might not get as much done as I think . . .
