I got the Guild (friends named Guild) throw off the loom last night – merino wool/silk drape-y and warm. And today I attended Guild for our draft exchange (sorry about the lame segue.) Sadly, my photos are incomplete ( a couple of stunning hucks are missing due to the photographer’s lameness) and do not do the projects justice. There were some incredible drafts, and it was wonderful to see them go from paper to fabric – magic! The projects ranged from beautiful but simple 4-shaft overshot to a brain-breaking 32-shaft-shaded-braided twill-canvas weave done by Master Complex Weaving Guru (MCWG) Laurie Autio.
