Submit
Today I submitted Sock Baby 2 and Socks (the tapestry) to the “Not Just for Socks” contest at Interweave Press. I am determined to continue to force myself to submit items to juried shows and contests despite the fact that I always have reservations, complaints, “I could make it better . . .”, issues about my submissions. I figure the whole process is really good for honing one’s skills no matter what the result. Right?
On another exciting note – I just got a copy of a great book by my friend the “Kangaroo Dyer” aka Gail Callahan. Her book is “Hand Dyeing Yarn and Fleece” from Storey Press. The book is beautiful and packed with great dyeing ideas and projects as well as really helpful information on using color in fiber arts. I highly recommend it.
