Back to the Studio

Hemmed Valentine today and added “Snoots” (a term coined by my niece Haley for tassels that I had sewn to her baby blanket. She loved to brush them on her nose while sucking her thumb – many years ago – right Haley?) I then girded? girt? my loins and went back to the second alpaca throw on the big loom. It is beautiful but very slow going. The boucle yarn is so bulky that I can only fit a little on each bobbin and it is so “grabby” that the shuttle won’t fly through the shed, but has to be nudged several times every pick. As I have often said, “my greatest artistic strength is my ability to endure tedium.”
