Button Quest
I went on a button quest and this is what I found. I need some input before I make the final decision. What I found strange in this process was that I had no ideas. I usually seek materials with a firm notion (no pun. . .) of what I want in mind. It is often a frustrating process because what I visualize and what is available rarely match. In this case, I had no idea what kind of button I wanted. I am a fan of functional buttons so I don’t usually like square or hard-to-button buttons, but round buttons in the scale that matches the coat ended up looking clown-y. I found some beautifully colored buttons, but adding more “activity” to the already complex fabric didn’t work. Finally, I saw that dark wooden buttons looked good, but what shape? Any input would be appreciated!
