‘Tis the season
This year we went to cut our tree without the “big kids” – I just realized that with a soon-to-be 21, 19 and 12-year-old, I can’t really call the older ones the “big kids” or the younger the “wee guy” any longer. But I will anyway. So we went to cut our tree – just three of us.
I was so happy/sad because we had gone as five for so many years, then four and now three. I know what’s coming, and it makes me laugh to think of the time when it will just be me and my husband schlepping up the hill to pick a “good one.”
On the weaving front – I have just finished my crackle project. The fabric has been woven for awhile with the plan to re-upholster an old ottoman. However, once again a “slight” miscalculation – and I use “calculation” very loosely – has led me to revise and make a lovely crackle bag instead.
