Class at Hill
Today was Master Weaver class at Hill Institute (pictured above) with our illustrious weaving guru Chris Hammel (pictured above). I have to sing Chris’ praises – she is a kind, thoughtful, dedicated teacher who has an uncanny ability to clarify murky weaving problems or clarify murky thinking about weaving problems. She is a HARD worker, and I feel so lucky to have her in my weaving life.
I don’t know for sure, but I think Hill is one of the very few Master Weaver programs in the country. I do know that the Hill Institute Weaving Program has been in existence since 1905. I am lucky.
