A couple of stroller blanket prototypes. Super soft combo of cotton boucle and Cottolin. I’m going back to the drawing board to get a more interesting “quilting” pattern on 8-shafts without making it too stiff.

Sewing lovely lambskin (Leprechaun Lambskins) to wedding blanket for darling young’uns.

Sampling for a Boro/Gee’s Bend-inspired bedsprea

Sampling for a Boro/Gee’s Bend-inspired bedspread. Double weave/pieced. I was faced with the need to weave a wide piece in cotton or Cottolin that was heavy enough for a bedspread. I thought of double wide double weave, but couldn’t find the right weight of cotton in the colors I wanted. I thought about double weave to achieve the hand but was worried that weaving double weave double wide would be too dense for me to get a reliable shed on my jacket loom. My son came up with the idea for a Boro inspired textile. I have to work out a few seaming kinks, but I think he’s onto something.
