While looking at the early offerings for fiber forum 2015 I had to ask
“Masters of Deflection” what does this mean? I have been weaving for about 4 years and only doing hand towels and have taken two beginning classes (each 4 weeks) and an overshot class. Many terms are still new to me so what will your class be and for how long? I have a 8H baby wolf that can travel.
Hi Nora,
Have loom will travel! I will be teaching over the weekend at Fiber Forum, and my class will be on Deflected Doubleweave which is essentially plainweave and floats with the colors arranged so that you can get bold designs with curves. It’s a great structure that sounds more complicated than it is. I provide the warps – the students come with their looms warped and ready to weave. Everyone weaves a 9-15 variation sampler on their own warps with enough left over to weave a scarf using the sampler to help design the scarf.
I hope to see you next spring!
Nora
